IAA Hannover 2018

With an invitation from Velodyne LiDAR, Accur8vision was displayed at IAA Hannover 2018. Our software and Velodyne LiDARS create a new innovative approach to the security world. Upon arrival at IAA, we rendered a 3D model of the stand and surrounding area to represent what our system could do in real time.  Velodyne LiDARs were placed around the stand to track people inside the 3D rendering.  We were able to demonstrate that the volumetric detection system can detect people within 200 meters of the stand.  We then placed an alarm zone around one of the trucks in the stand.  Once a person entered this alarm zone an alarm was sounded and the person was placed inside a 'bounding box'.  The 'bounding box is able to tell us the person's speed, trajectory, and movement.  The camera is automatically piloted by the LiDAR to the point of alarm.  With the LiDAR and camera working together you are always able to see where the person is in the alarm zone.

Along with security we can also use accur8vision within Smart City applications.  In Prague, we showcased how our system could help pedestrians and drivers alike at busy intersections.  With this technology we can help protect crosswalks, for example.  If a pedestrian walks on a red walk signal or a driver runs a red light the system will set off an alarm.  If you want to count the number of vehicles that drive through the intersection, you are able to do this also.  There are many ways that accur8vision can help with Smart City applications.

We would like to thank Velodyne LiDAR for the invitation to show our system at IAA Hannover.
